The Legend of the BodeTree
BodeTree (pronounced: boh-dee tree) was inspired by the Buddhist legend of Buddha and the sacred tree called the Bodhi Tree. This tree was the place that Buddha reached nirvana, or the highest state of enlightenment, through dedicated meditation.
At BodeTree we had our own moment of insight and decided to combine our experiences to create tools that would help entrepreneurs make sense of their finances. We hope our approach makes finance more fun and empowers a new generation of enlightened entrepreneurs.
Founder Bios
Matt Ankrum is Chairman and Co-Founder of BodeTree.
Matt has extensive experience in strategy development, decision optimization, capital raising, and business analysis. Concurrent with BodeTree, he is head of strategy for a Fortune 500 company. Prior to BodeTree, he was a portfolio manager and analyst for Janus Capital Group, Lateef Investment Management, William Blair & Company, and Conseco Capital Management. Matt is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. He holds an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in economics, finance and accounting from the University of Chicago.

Chris Myers is CEO and Co-Founder of BodeTree.
Chris is passionate about small business and has extensive experience in business optimization, strategy development, financial reporting, and valuation. Prior to founding BodeTree, he played a key role on the strategy team of a Fortune 500 company, provided valuation and financial opinions, and advised numerous small businesses, banks, and credit unions as a consultant and analyst. Chris graduated from Arizona State University with an undergraduate degree in finance and studied accounting and economics at Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
